Acupuncture
The art of healing used for 4000 years to treat all conditions. It relies on the energies of the universe and on our body to clear all disharmonies. Some conditions treated include PMS, stress, muscle tensions, and migraines.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese, holistic therapy. It is a gentle form of drug free healing with its own unique system of diagnosis and disease identification.

Over 2000 years ago, Chinese medical writings described the acupuncture channels as transporting energy around and through the body. This energy was termed qi. Qi is said to be influenced in specific ways at special locations, known as acupuncture points, which lie among these channels.

Traditional acupuncturists believe that gentle stimulation of precise acupuncture points, when applied on the basis of correct diagnosis, will aid the body's own defensive and self healing systems: thus promoting and maintaining good health.

The World Health Organization has published a list of diseases which are treated successfully by acupuncture in China. They include:

Upper Respiratory Tract and Respiratory Diseases:
Sinusitis, rhinitis, common cold, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, bronchial asthma.

Gastrointestinal Disorder:
Acute and Chronic gastritis, gastric hyperacidity, the pain of duodenal colitis, acute bacillary dysentery, constipation and diarrhea.

Neurological Disorder:
Headache, migraine, trigeminal neuralgia, post stroke paralysis, Meniere's disease, neurogenic bladder dysfunction, intercostal neuralgia.

Musculoskeletal Disorder:
Cervicobrachial syndrome such as 'frozen shoulder', 'tennis elbow' and 'RSI', sciatica, low-back pain, osteoarthritis.
